Thanksgiving Dinner

Happy Thanksgiving! Due to unforeseen circumstances, we ended up all by ourselves for Thanksgiving this year. Luckily, B raced to Safeway and got us a 10 lb. turkey (yes, that’s 5 lbs. each… jealous?), some potatoes and a bottle of champagne at 10 pm Wednesday night. We will post photos soon of our delicious dinner, which turned out perfectly, and which had all the essentials: turkey, gravy, cranberry sauce, stuffing (homemade), garlic mashed potatoes, green beans, champagne, and last but not least, homemade apple pie with vanilla ice cream. (side note: B made banana bread this morning and it was delicious. It’s the only thing he’s allowed to bake unsupervised.)

Needless to say, neither of us can move right now, and we were so excited at how well our first Thanksgiving controlling the turkey turned out, that we had to start a blog. That’s right, we started a blog because our dinner was so tasty.

We miss our family and friends, but we had a lovely day feeling very thankful for everything we have in our lives, but most especially for such wonderful family and friends, even in absentia. So Happy Thanksgiving, and now we are going to go for a walk so that we can fit the apple pie and ice cream in.

Love to all.
